Windows 8.1 OS Will Be Available in the UK for £75

However, the standard Windows 8.1 software package will cost users £75, while the full-fledged Windows 8.1 Pro will set users back £125.

With Windows 8.1 Pro, business users can gain benefit from the improved security users. They can also securely connect to corporate networks and host remote desktop connections. Laptop users with standard Windows 8.1 will need to spend an additional £62 to upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro and another £6 for the Windows Media Centre.

Update Windows 8.1 packages may hit the shelves in the UK on October 17. Eager Windows 7 laptop users are recommended to get Windows 8 right now, so they can quickly get free Windows 8.1 update through online sources when it is available.    It’s worth noting that the updated Windows 8.1 package can’t be installed on laptops with Windows XP and Windows Vista So, it’s recommended to get the DVD version and perform a clean install.
