Many laptop users in the United Kingdom prioritize functionality, good form factor and impressive designs. Clearly, the Apple MacBook Air and Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro can deliver both.
The MacBook Air comes with conventional laptop design; it simply doesn’t flip or fold. There are two display size options, 13-inch and 15.4inch. However, the 1440 x 900 display resolution is noticeable lower than what the Yoga 2 Pro is offering. The latest Air model is equipped with 2.9GHz Core i7 dual-core processor, 8GB of RAM, a couple of USB 2.0 port and 750GB 5400rpm display.
The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro comes with a more innovative dual-hinge design, allowing users to set up four different modes, – standard laptop, tablet, stand and tent. With 3200 x 1800, its 13-inch multitouch display is noticeably much sharper.
The touch-optimized Windows 8 interface work quite well, opening basic apps such as web browser and music player is much faster than when using mouse. The Yoga 2 Pro is also equipped with Intel’s powerful Core i7 processor and 8GB of RAM. Another detail worth mentioning is that both machines start at around £690.
