Vizio introduced its touchscreen-capable laptops at CES 2013, earlier this year, which are all priced above $1,000 (Approx. £643). The CT-14T-BO is the most affordable model at $1,089; (Approx. £701) with an AMD APU and 14” display. A variant with the same display and the more powerful Intel Core i7 processor is priced at $1,419.99 (Approx. £914).
Another sub-category uses 15.6” display; the one with AMD APU is priced at $1,189 (Approx. £765), whereas the Intel Core i7 variant is $1,469.99 (Approx. £946).
It should be noted that while these four laptops come with touchscreen display, they are not convertibles. Instead, they are designed to take on Apple’s MacBook Air, with their high performance SSD and solid aluminum unibody construction.
The full lineup is already posted on Vizio’s website and although priced a little bit too expensive, they are still appealing for those who think that touchscreen displays are more than just gimmick.
