Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 Review

Available for between $700 (Approx. £450) and $900 (Approx. £579), the Toshiba Satellite P845T-S4310 offers balanced processor and graphics performance. Unfortunately, users need to give up touchscreen features, but such a capacity is still largely a tacked-in novelty for notebooks with standard design. At slightly above 2 kg, the laptop has moderate weight in the 14” category. Available connectivity options include VGA out, HDMI out, two USB 3.0 ports and RJ-45 socket.

Its non-backlit chiclet keyboard has limited usability, but typing experience is relatively noiseless, making it more appropriate in quiet office settings. The edge-to-edge, glossy display looks quite impressive from a distance and the HD resolution is what we should expect from a 14” display.

The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i5 3317U dual core processor clocked between 1.7GHz and 2.6GHz. Users get the 750GB 5400rpm Toshiba HDD, which is rather slow at only 70MBps. With Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm can reach 28fp at medium detail settings.
