The Aspire One 725-C7Xkk is a small laptop designed only for limited computing experience, such as HD video playback and web surfing. Even under peak load, the laptop is generally quiet and cool. It offers only limited connectivity options, with two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI out port, RJ-45 socket and VGA out port.
Its chiclet keyboard doesn’t have backlighting, but it offers a rather well-defined pressure point. The 11.6” HD (1366 x 768) display is sufficiently bright and the matte surface allows for decent outdoors usability.
The AMD C-70 APU offers very slight improvement over the C-60 APU. Both are dual-core chip clocked at 1GHz, but the C-70 can go up to 1.3GHz during peak load. The 500GB 5400rpm Hitachi Travelstar HDD offers average transfer rate of 87Mbps, which is quite decent. The Aspire One 725-C7Xkk uses a built-in AMD Radeon JD 7290, which offers very limited gaming experience. Only games released before 2007 can be played with sufficiently smooth frame rate.
