Toshiba Satellite S70-A-10F Review

The Toshiba Satellite S70-A-10F is a laptop with good communications modules and reasonably bright display with great contrast. Despite the processor throttling issue, it is not a bad laptop mode. The Satellite S70-A-10F offers a mix of aluminum and synthetic materials, with brushed, blue-tinted aluminum material on much of its surface.

It also offers a decent number of ports on the sides, including two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port and RJ45 LAN interface. The chiclet QWERTY keyboard is consisted of reasonably large 14 x 14 keys with tangible feedback and short stroke distance.

The 17.3-inch full HD display should be a good fit for playing games and watching movie. It has good color reproduction and bright panel. AT its heart, the Toshiba Satellite S70-A-10F is powered by the Intel Core i7 4700MQ Haswell quad-core processor that’s clocked between 2.4 and 3.4 GHz. Paired with 16GB DDR3L RAM, the laptop is definitely a serious multitasker.

Toshiba adds the HGST Travelstar 5K1000 1TB 5400rpm HDD as the main storage unit, which offers decent transfer rates. The Nvidia GeForce GT 740M offers mid-tier graphics processing capability, although not meant for hard-core gaming, users can still enjoy latest game titles at medium-low detail settings.
