The Toshiba Satellite Pro L870-16P is a good example how manufacturers should implement latest technology on laptops. The potent graphics card helps the sizable 17.3” display on its feet when running demanding graphic tasks and games. The smooth automatic switching technology between integrated and discrete GPUs is one of the most sensible implementations.
While the battery life is not a decisive factor for the Toshiba Satellite Pro L870-16P, the laptop still impresses us with good performance, USB 3.0 ports, low heat emission and less-reflective matte display. Like most 17.3” notebooks, the Toshiba Satellite Pro L870-16P is equipped with a full fledged 102 keys keyboard, but unfortunately it doesn’t include dedicated keys for WiFi and volume control.
With its large 1600 x 900 display, the laptop is a good choice for gamers. Unfortunately, the use of TN-LED panel, results in narrower vertical viewing angles. Other important hardware components are Intel Core i5 3210M processor, 8GB of RAM and AMD Radeon HD 7670M GPU.
