Lenovo is preparing to update its portfolio with another laptop model; the ThinkPad X230s. Released last year, the laptop sports a reasonably compact design and 12.5” display. It weighs just below 3lbs thanls to the carbon fiber material and measures about one inch thick.

There’s no word on release date in the United States, but details of the laptop is already available on Lenovo’s Chinese webpage. The company generously adds 8GB of RAM and users can choose between standard hard drive and SSD. Other features are fingerprint scanner, backlit keyboard, two USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort output and VGA out.

The Intel Core i7 processor should be adequate for typical productivity tasks as well as light gaming sessions. It is said that the X230s will be available for consumers in China for around $1,200. (Approx. £773) Based on earlier rumors, the resolution used could likely be 1366 x 768.
