Toshiba Satellite P75-A7200 Review

The Toshiba Satellite P75-A7200 comes with a first-rate keyboard, bright full HD display and seriously capable processor. Visually, the laptop sports a mishmash of metal and plastic materials, which looks like one step below the usual premium-grade manufacturing standard.

There’s hardly an abundance of connectivity options, but it surely nice to get for USB 3.0 ports. There’s no DisplayPort, but both VGA and HDMI are available. Toshiba said that the laptop is capable of sending steady 4k output to an external display. The chiclet-style keyboard comes with an array of smooth, flat keys that feel well-engineered. Users won’t get that clatter noise characteristics of cheaper laptops. Despite the short stroke, serious typing should be a pleasure.

The Satellite P75-A7200 boasts a 17-inch 1080p display that impresses immediately with its rich color reproduction and high brightness. With the Intel Core i7 4700MQ Haswell processor, the P70 is meant for high performance computing. The built-in Turbo mode can push the chip to 3.2GHz on all four cores and down to 2.4GHz for energy-efficient operation.

There are multiple 5400rpm HDD options available, ranging from 750GB all the way to 1.5TB. The built-in Intel HD Graphics 4600 is comparable in performance with low-end discrete graphics cards, including the Nvidia GeForce 630M. Latest games should be playable at low-medium detail settings.
