Toshiba Satellite L50T-A-130 Review

The Toshiba Satellite L50T-A-130 is a laptop that’s adequate for general uses and should cause any serious issues. It brings with it a 15.6-inch touchscreen display that easily adds to the overall value. However, some users may gladly swap the touch-sensitive display for a better screen quality. With its 1.6GHz Core i5 Haswell processor, the L50T-A-130 performs like any mid-tier machine in the market. It also comes with a 1TB HDD and healthy 8GB of RAM.

It’s worth noting that while the Haswell processor can perform well in most situations, Toshiba pairs it with the outdated 5400rpm hard drive technology. With PCMark 7 scores of 2,850 points, the laptop is adequate for quick photo-editing and web browsing; but users shouldn’t expect to get something much more out of it.

Fortunately, the Intel HD Graphics 4400 integrated GPU can handle a bit more than casual gaming. Some great action games released a couple of years ago would run quite smooth at 720p resolution. Users can get more than five hours when streaming videos with WiFi, which won’t break any records in the industry.

Overall, the Toshiba Satellite L50T-A-130 is a laptop with unassuming design and good build quality, which would match the £650 (including VAT) price tag quite well.
