Samsung Unveils An Improved Version of Ativ Book 9 Plus

Samsung finally takes pre orders on a newer version of the Ativ Book 9 Plus. The machine is now equipped with the 3200 x 1800 touchscreen display and Intel Core i7 Haswell processor. Samsung expects to launch the new laptop model early next month. Visually, the new Ativ Book 9 Plus looks identical with the early batches of Ativ Book 9 Plus, after a few minutes, users would notice the difference in performance level.

This new laptop version may encourage Toshiba to make its own luxury ultrabook model, the Kirabook, cheaper. When Toshiba shipped the Kirabook last May, it created its own world with the 13.3-inch (2560 x 1440) touchscreen display. But now, the new Ativ Book 9 Plus manages to deliver the 4th generation Haswell Core processor and much higher screen resolution. However, it is unlikely for Samsung to match the lavish customer-service and tech-support offerings Toshiba currently provides to its customers.

The Intel Core i7 4500U Haswell processor is paired with 8GB DDR3 RAM, allowing users to perform intense multitasking tasks with ease. The main storage unit is in the form of the 256GB SSD. Earlier batches of Ativ Book 9 Plus came with Intel Core i5 4200U, 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM.
