Toshiba Satellite C50 Review

Toshiba pits its affordable touch-capable laptop, the Satellite C series against budget models in the UK market. The C50 is one such model and it lacks improved multimedia capability available on Satellite P, L and S models. One real draw here is the sub-£300 asking price.

Its matte black finish does very little in projecting any unique personality and the C50 isn’t much of a looker. After a day of moderate use, the laptop may be covered with fingerprints, so users should be prepared to rub it quite frequently.

There are two display variants of the C50, a cheaper one with 15.6-inch HD (1366 x 768) display and a more spacious one with 17.3-inch HD+ (1600 x 900) display. Users can also choose between the non-touch and touch options. While the resolution is far from being the highest in the industry, users shouldn’t detect any grain and colors will be suitably vivid. Other important details are Intel Core i3 dual core 3110M processor, 1TB of HDD and 4GB of RAM.
