The Lenovo IdeaPad Z585 is a nice multimedia laptop currently available in UK for about £400. It’s quite clear that consumers shouldn’t expect to see any wonder at this price level.
The accessories, features and plastic case quality don’t look outstanding at all. In fact some unique design characteristics tend to go down the drain. As an example, the separate number pad seems to take valuable space out of the keyboard layout. The 15.6-inch 1366×768 display is convincing enough for typical office works, but the glossy panel makes it inadequate for outdoor uses.
Most consumers should be impressed with both the HDMI and VGA ports, although the battery life is a bit too short and disappointing. The AMD A10 APU is a solid mid-range computing solution, but what makes the IdeaPad Z585 special is the dual Radeon 7660G and 7670M solutions. Most newer games should work very smoothly at medium-high detail settings.
