Acer Aspire E1-571 is a decent budget laptop that doesn’t exhibit any glaring weakness. However, due to the absence of important highlights, power users could be better off with models released by Sony and Dell. With the Ivy Bridge Core i3 processor, the E1-571 scores reasonably high points in benchmark results, which are important for productivity and multimedia playback.

Despite being an entry-level device, the E1-571 can play newer games reasonably well at lowest detail settings. With its low temperature build-up, power consumption and noise, the E1-571 can stay agreeably discreet in most office settings. The 15.6-inch (1366 x 768) display with glare-type panel is a common component found in the budget category. It has tight viewing angles and should be used only indoors.

While the laptop could use a higher quality keyboard, more interface and better display, it is still a good alternative for those who seek better performance level from entry-level devices. Other important components are 500GB 5400rpm HDD and Nvidia GeForce 620M. The Acer Aspire E1-571 is available in the UK for about £369.
