Sony has announced two new laptop lines, Vaio Duo and Vaio Pro, which are equipped with Haswell processors.
The Vaio Duo 13 is a laptop with optional 4G LTE connectivity from AT&T and it can stay updated while in sleep mode. The Haswell processor contributes to the whopping battery life at 18 hours. The Vaio Pro is a touch-capable ultrabook family with Windows 8 aimed at students and mobile professionals.
It includes NFC connectivity, which allows instantaneous data transfer between other NFC-capable devices. Sony introduces two Vaio Pro models, 11” and 13” models, weighing at 1.92lbs and 2.34lbs, respectively. These are also the first laptop modes equipped with the PCIe SSD, which offers double the performance of standard SSDs.
Both laptop lineups is equipped with full HD Triluminuous display, which promise more distinct and purer colors. The inclusion of X Reality mobile technology allows the laptops to analyze images and generates missing pixels. Laptops from these lineups will be available on June 9 with starting price of $1,149 (Approx. £740).
