Since the arrival of Windows 8, many laptop manufacturers have introduced hybrids on the UK market. But only very few get much traction among consumers in the United Kingdom, the Lenovo Yoga is one of them. As a response to this situation, Sony has just unveiled a new hybrid called the Vaio Flip. There’s a visible seam when we close the Flip, but it still looks like a standard laptop, since the device can unfold normally.
Sony’s unique design is aimed to prevent users from being distracted by keys located at the bottom of the device, which is a fault we find on the Yoga.
Although the top joint doesn’t lock and its hinges go all the way across, Flip’s design also a reminiscent of Acer’s Aspire R7. Being a Vaio laptop, it includes three display size options with top model running the Intel Core i7 processor and an Nvidia GPU with 2GB of video RAM. The 13-inch and 14-inch variants have 1080p resolution, while the 15-inch variant offers 2880 x 1620 resolution.
