Samsung Series 3 300E5C Review

Samsung Gaming LaptopSamsung Series 3 300E5C offers decent value for the money. It is a good thing that the money saved doesn’t come at the expense of essential components such as the input devices and display. The 15.6” (1366 x 768) display also has decent maximum brightness, which contribute to good outdoors visibility.

Samsung only fits an Intel Core i3 2310M CPU from the Sandy Bridge family instead of a newer Ivy Bridge model. There’s obviously some room for improvement in terms of workmanship as rivals are clearly better in this category. While the unit fares quite well against twisting, the Samsung Series 3 300E5C doesn’t resist pressure adequately.

On the sides there are include RJ45 port, VGA out, HDMI out, three USB 2.0 ports, headphones, mic and Kensington lock slot. The main storage unit is a Hitachi TravelStar 500GB that works at 5400rpm. The Intel HD Graphics 3000 GPU doesn’t make the Samsung Series 3 300E5C a gaming monster, but users can still play casual or older games smoothly.
