Many users have been expecting to get laptops Intel 4th generation Core processor family, the Haswell. While Intel will officially rollout the chip at Computex Taiwan on June 3, NEC has apparently jumped the gun.

The LaVie L is equipped with Haswell processor, 15.6” full HD IPS touchscreen display, 32GB SSD, 1TB HDD and 8GB of RAM. Another big factor of NEC LaVie L would be preinstalled Windows 8 and Microsoft Office suite.

Compared to Ivy Bridge, noteworthy features of Haswell laptops include improved graphics performance and longer battery life, without sacrificing computing power. When certain power-saving technologies are implemented, these laptops may last much longer than previous models.

The integrated Iris graphic chip delivers twice the 3D capability of the earlier Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU on 3rd generation Core processor, the Ivy Bridge. Initially, Intel may release quad-core models aimed for pricier laptop models. There should also be affordable, power-efficient Haswell models at the other end of the spectrum to allow PC manufacturers outreach budget-conscious users.
