Maingear Pulse 17 Could be The World’s Thinnest 17-inch Gaming Laptop

Maingear has released a successor of the Pulse 11 gaming laptop. The new Pulse 17 is probably the slimmest 17-inch gaming laptop in the market at only 0.85-inch thick. Despite its thin form factor, the laptop packs plenty of trimmings that we would expect from a gaming-centric machine. Weighing less than 6-pounds, the Pulse 17 would be something that stands out among those gaming laptops with the same display size.

The laptop is driven by a 2.4GHz to 3.4GHz Intel Core i7 4700HQ Haswell processor and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M discrete graphic card with 2GB of VRAM. Audio solution is more improved than typical laptops, with surround-sound speaker package and integrated subwoofer based on SoundBlaster Cinema solution.

The Pulse 17 offers improved connectivity option, such as the Killer Doubleshot, which optimizes connection with wired and wireless networks. This would improve multiplayer performance by offering five times better latency and the ability to control bandwidth usage. The SSD drive offers read performance in excess of 900 Mbps. The main cooling component it a dual-fan setup, which includes automatic cooler boost functionality. The Pulse 17 could be priced at around £1350 in the United Kingdom.
