Asus has recently introduced the Transformer Book T100, which will soon arrive to the UK market. Visually, the T100 has plenty of design similarities with the older Transformer Book that Asus launched at Computex. Both come with the same notebook/tablet hybrid design.

The T100 could function as both Windows 8.1 tablet and laptop. It comes with a detachable 10.1-inch HD display, Intel Atom Z3740 Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The display may not have the 1080p resolution, but it should still be a fair enough compromise considering the rather low price point.

There’s also an external memory slot that supports up to 64GB of microSD card. The T100 tips the scale at slightly above the 1.07kg and weighs in at 550 grams, with the keyboard attached. The battery could sustain 11 hours of run time and connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band WiFi and USB 3.0 ports.

The T100 will be available in the UK for £349.99, which places the laptop in mid-range category. Users also get free installation of Microsoft Office, which makes the T100 a usable productivity tool.
