With the Thinkpad Edge E330, Lenovo managed to create a laptop with solid design this time around. The company may have listened to consumers and ironed out most shortcomings that plagued previous models. The laptop now seems to have much improved stability standard compared to average Thinkpad models.
The hinges are a bit stiff and they don’t allow users to open the display lid with one hand. The Thinkpad Edge E330 has standard connectivity options with two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, RJ-45 LAN socket and VGA out port. The laptop comes preinstalled with the ThinkVantage Tools which offers useful and comprehensive data security package. The Airbag Protection can quickly switch the hard disk drive off when sudden movement is detected, as it could indicate a drop.
Again, the laptop uses the AccuType keyboard, which is a tried and tested component. The 13.3” (1366 x 768) display has non-reflective panel and average brightness level. There are three processor options, with the Intel Pentium B970 being the cheapest, followed by the Core i3 2370M and Core i5 3210M.
