Laptops users in the UK can now pre-order the Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 for only £605 at the Amazon UK and it could be shipped later this month. The Z500 is approximately 25 percent thinner than typical notebook models, although it is still somewhat hefty at 3.2kg. Externally, the Z500 easily leaves a good impression due to proper material and color choices.
As expected, the laptop is equipped with Lenovo’s distinctive “AccuType” keyboard design with free standing rounded keys and a few millimeters of gaps between them. There’s nothing unusual with the 15.6-inch (1366 x 768) display, although the TN panel may cause poor vertical viewing angle. The display surface is also highly reflective limiting outdoors usages somewhat.
The company also makes a proper choice by putting the Intel Core i7 3632QM dual-core processor and Nvidia GeForce GT 645M discrete graphics cards inside the chassis. Overall, at £605, the IdeaPad Z500 is a great multimedia notebook, which combines sophisticated design and energy-saving hardware.
