HP is planning to release two sizes of Pavilion X2 laptops on November 17 and shipment to UK consumers should arrive shortly afterwards. The 11-inch model starts at £375 and it is equipped with Bay Trail processor for lower power consumption.
The detachable touchscreen IPS display has 1366 x 768 resolution, which is common for a budget device. Users can choose between sub-variants with 64GB or 128GB of SSD. Both cameras on the front and the back are rated at 2Mp.
The 13-inch model comes with a number of additional options, with sub-variants running either Intel Haswell or AMD A6 processor. Unfortunately, the larger detachable display doesn’t have 2Mp rear-facing camera. Its keyboard dock is equipped with full-sized SD card slot, HDMI port and a couple of USB 2.0 ports.
Overall, the HP Pavilion X2 represents the company’s budget Windows 8.1 hybrids in the UK market and we shouldn’t compare its pricing with standard laptops.
