HP has announced two new laptops models in the UK, one a Haswell detachable ultrabook with fanless design and another with integrated Leap Motion controller. Intel’s new Haswell architecture is known for its efficient power requirements and low heat build up, which allows manufacturers to rely more on passive cooling systems. The Spectre 13 is equipped with 13-inch full HD display and Beats audio. It is also reasonably light at 1.47 kg and slim at 13.4mm.
HP claims that the Envy 17 is the world’s first laptop with built-in Leap Motion technology. It allows the machine to accurately detect fingers and hands movements to control the interface and provide easy navigation. The Envy 17 Leap Motion laptop should be available in the November for users in the United Kingdom starting at around £625. Its arrival will coincide with the launch of two Pavilion X2 models.
