HP ProBook 4545s Review

HP LaptopThe HP ProBook 4545s is a solid laptop for business use with elegant design. It’s powerful enough for typical business and moderate home entertainment use. The monitor surface is sufficiently durable and colors won’t shift when it is pressed. The keyboard and palm rest are also very stable, they won’t yield under greater amount of force.

Unfortunately, like many laptops, the area directly above the DVD burner is somewhat weaker. On the front side, there are mic, headphone jack, card reader and status LEDs. On the right side there are DVD burner and two USB 2.0 ports, while two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI out port, RJ-45 LAN socket and VGA out port is found the left. Keys on the chiclet keyboard are sufficiently large and ample distance between them minimizes chances of typing mistakes. It has good pressure point and seems to offer very direct feedback.

There’s nothing remarkable with the 15.6” (1366 x 768) display and the below average brightness seems to limit outdoor uses. Other important details are AMD A4-A4300M processor and integrated Radeon HD 7420G GPU, which is roughly similar to the Intel Graphics HD 4000 in performance level.
