The Dell Latitude 6430u is a solid laptop with magnesium alloy chassis, which allows for thinner form factor. Its ease and accessibility and strong build come at a cost of more weight and larger size. Compared to current Ultrabooks in the market, the 643u is noticeably heavier and thicker.
There are only status LEDs on the front, while on the rear, owners can use HDMI out port and eSATA/USB port. There is a WLAN switch on left, as well as one USB 3.0 port, audio combo jack, power socket and VGA out port. There’s another USB 3.0 port on the right along with Kensington Lock socket and Gigabit Ethernet.
