The HP EliteBook 800 series is the company’s new lineup, designed for users of business ultrabooks. Starting at £500, the 800 come in various display options, 12-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch. These models are constructed from magnesium alloy material with nice graphite black colors, clearly inspired by sports cars.

Meeting the MIL STD 810G standards, the EliteBook 800 can withstand accidental drops from 30 inches. By removing the optical drive, modem and serial port, HP manages to shave off a fraction of an inch from the thickness. However, the EliteBook 800 still retains Ethernet ports and VGA out.

All models are equipped with Intel Haswell processors, starting from the budget Core i3 model. The 14-inch model comes with in optional battery sleeve and touchscreen display. The former may boost the battery life to 33 hours from the original 12 hours. As promised, EliteBook 800 is equipped with SureStart technology, which offers self-healing BIOS technology.
