MSI is known for its four gaming laptop families, GT, GS, GE and GX. Very recently it has introduced the new GP series, which is a more affordable solution than the GE series. There are two processor options, the Intel Core i5 4200M and Core i7 4700MQ. All are equipped with 8GB of RAM and Intel Graphics HD 4600. Each model also has Nvidia GeForce GT 740M discrete graphics card with Kepler GK107 core and 2GB video GDDR5 RAM. The GT 740M is basically a mid-tier graphics card capable of supporting latest games at medium-high detail settings.
They are also equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, VGA out, HDMI 1.4 and 720p webcam. The Core i7 model is paired with 120W adapter and the Core i5 model with 90W adapter. Pricing for consumers in the UK start from £560 to £650 for the top model
