Google Unveils the Chromebook Pixel

Google’s Chromebook Pixel looks like a rather intriguing laptop. Who would want to buy a laptop that isn’t much use when there’s no Internet connection, runs only Web-based applications and lacks any real storage unit. Sporting about 4.3 million pixels, Google claims that display has more pixels than on any other laptops in the market.

This will certainly make Netflix streaming TV and YouTube clips looks nice with their best effects. However, the rest of the hardware is relatively standard fare with Intel Core i5 dual-core processor at 1.8GHz, 4GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU. It should be noted that with $200 (Approx. £128) more, consumers can get a full-fledged MacBook Pro laptop with 13” Retina display, faster 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 dual-core processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD. In fact, with $100 (Approx. £64) less, consumers can get a basic Macbook Air model with 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM.
