At CES 2013, Samsung teased is with the Series 7 Chronos and it features a ridiculously thin all-metal body. The South Korean company didn’t revealed the price, but the laptop has recently appeared at Best Buy for $1300 (Approx. £837). Stacked with impressive technical wizardry, the Samsung Series 7 Chronos is ideal for serious gaming and multimedia content creation.
It is powered with the Intel Core i7 3635QM CPU and AMD Radeon HD 8870M 2GB dedicated graphics card. Other important details are 15.6” 1080p touchscreen display, 1TB HDD and 8GB of RAM. Users have the option to upgrade to 16GB of RAM and ask Samsung to perform the customization.
The Series 7 Chronos is also packed with various ports, making it easy for users plug in peripherals, there are audio/mic combo jack, VGA out port, HDMI out port, two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports. It will compete well with 15” MacBook Pro, which is thicker, slightly heavier and significantly more expensive at $1800 (Approx. £1160).
