The Dell Latitude XT3 looks stand out with its “Tri Metal” case, which shows metal surface on various places. The solid interior construction contributes to its good stability and compliance with MIL-STD-810G lends to its excellent ruggedness.  On the sides, there are audio in/out jack, SD card reader, three USB 2.0 ports, LAN socket, VGA out port, HDMI out port, wireless switch and Smart Card reader.

The keyboard works rather well with its 19mm standard keys, good click point, comfortable stroke and mid-length travel. It yields minimally to pressure and feels quite stable overall. The Dell Latitude XT3 uses 13.3” (1366 x 768) display with partially reflective panel and white LED backlight. The display loses much of its usability under direct sunlight.

The Dell Latitude XT3 is powered by the Intel Core i7 2640M dual core processor that has a few performance enhancing features such as Turbo Boost and Hyperthreading. Regardless of the storage options users choose, they won’t get anything above 320GB. The RAM is configured with dual-channel mode and it helps the Intel HD Graphics 3000 integrated GPU to reach its full potential.
