Dell is a major manufacturer in the laptop industry and it seems to have a knack for combining visually pleasing chassis with impressive hardware configuration. The new Dell 7737 also seems to do so many things well as far as desktop replacement goes; although some may have issues with its stability factor. Both chassis and lid are manufactured from two large pieces of aluminum; and the surface is polished to a high sheen. This would easily leave behind a really nice impression.
The ports availability may look a bit meager for a laptop of this size; but the layout is quite practical for typical desk use. Annoying cable for USB 3.0 device, Ethernet and HDMI can be easily shoved backward.
Although we shouldn’t expect webcams to deliver exceptional photo quality; the HD camera on the Dell Inspiron 7737 produce images with colors that come off as artificial and rippled. On the plus side, the keyboard has a generous layout with numbers pad in standard format and offset arrow keys.
Both variants of Inspiron 7737 have 17-inch display but with different screen resolutions; 1600 x 900 HD+ and 1920 x 1080 Full HD. They share other important components: Intel Core i7 4500U dual-core processor and Nvidia GeForce GT 750M; which deliver smooth performance for a bit more demanding tasks.
