Samsung introduced a couple of new ultrabooks, the Ativ Book 9 Plus and Ativ Book 9 Lite. Both models offer unibody aluminum design, 12 hours of battery life, up to 256GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and 13.3” (3200 x 1800) touchscreen display optimized for Windows 8 interface. Users can choose between Intel’s 4th generation Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
The Book 9 Plus can boot in less than 6 seconds and recover from sleep mode in slightly less than 1 second. It also includes the SideSync technology, which allows smooth content sharing with Samsung Galaxy smartphones and other Book 9 Plus ultrabooks.
The Ativ Book 9 Lite is a more affordable model with 13.3” HD (1366 x 768) display. Users can choose between non-touch and touch-capable variants. It comes with only 4GB of RAM. The “Lite” is actually larger and heavier than its more expensive sibling, but still shares the same premium design characteristics.
