Asus VivoBook S300CA-C1016H Review

Asus VivoBook S300CA-C1016H looks like something that’s designed by Apple. Apart from the clumsy-looking touchpad, the laptop leaves superb general impression. The above average keyboard and long battery life also compensate for a few flaws it has. There are Gigabit-LAN port, VGA out port, HDMI out port, one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, SD card reader, headset jack and Kensington lock socket. As parts of the standard package, users get Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.

The chiclet keyboard is seamlessly integrated into the aluminum chassis, which results in an especially sophisticated appearance. The low-noise keys can also help in the quiet work environments and libraries. The 13.3” HD display is very reflective when used at outdoor areas and also when there’s bright background lighting. Asus decides to use ULV chips to avoid overburdening the battery and users can choose between Intel Core i3 3217U and Core i5 3317U.

There’s also a non-removable Hitachi Travelstar Z5K500 500GB 5400rpm as the main storage unit. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU is suitable for light video rendering and gaming.
