We first spotted the Transformer Book Trio back in September at IFA and Asus has finally announced that the laptop will arrive on November 11 in the UK for £899.99. For such a premium price, we should expect that laptop will deliver plenty of new functionality.
It can take for as an ultra-portable notebook when the keyboard is attached. For tablet use, users can detach the screen from the keyboard. In desktop mode, not only users can attach keyboard, they can also connect the whole assembly to a larger external monitor. The Book Trio runs Windows 8 both in laptop and desktop mode; and Android 4.2 in tablet mode.
Inside, there’s 1.6GHz Intel processor, while the 11.6-inch 1080p display offers 10-point multitouch capability and 178-degree viewing angles. There’s no indication when it will arrive to other regions. Other details include 500GB HDD, 4GB of RAM and 64GB SSD. The Trio Book bulks up to 13mm at its thickest point and weighing in at 2.2lbs, it is almost in part with the new MacBook Air. On the sides, there are a couple of USB 3.0 ports, one micro_HDMI port, one miniDisplay port and an audio jack.
