Asus Q500A-BHI7T05 Notebook Review

The Asus Q500A-BHI7T05 comes with jet black aluminum case and its shape is reminiscent of the popular Asus ROG series. The laptop does look attractive although it isn’t sufficient slim to meet the ultrabook dimension standards. On the sides, users can find two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, optical drive, SD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI out and VGA out.

Its chiclet-style keyboard has a rather low clatter, with responsive and adequate feedback. Certainly, the travel isn’t as solid or deep as keyboard on desktops. The 15.6” HD display is common among budget laptops and maximum brightness setting is highly advisable during outdoor usages, due to the use of glossy panel.

The chassis houses the Intel Core i5 3230M Ivy Bridge processor clocked at 2.6GHz. The 6GB of RAM is arranged in dual-channel configuration and the 750GB Travelstar HDD delivers about 75MBps of data transfer. Nothing spectacular should be expected from its Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU, with newer game titles playable only on low-medium detail settings.
