Many laptop users in the UK have a good time using the original C7 Chromebook since its release last year. Other than the more efficient Haswell architecture, the C720 is beefed up against water exposure. The 30cc fluid resistance means that users will have some extra time to perform quick clean up and turn off their laptop, before the spilt coffee ruins everything.

The 1.4GHz Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell dual-core processor is an ultra low voltage component that significantly extends battery life. Other than 2GB/4GB of RAM, users can also expect to get 16GB of flash storage. Web-centric users can also take advantage of the 100GB of cloud storage available for free for each ChromeBook C720 user.

Other minor features will include microphone, audio jack, full-sized HDMI slot and a couple of USB 2.0 ports. Being a replacement of the original C7, the new C720 Chromebook won’t be priced much higher. There’s no word on availability for UK consumers.
