Toshiba Satellite L830-15L Review

The Toshiba Satellite L830-15L may not be the most recommendable laptop, but it still makes a decent impression visually. Under bright indoor lighting or sunlight, the case gleams brilliantly in an intense white. For a 13” notebook, it offers more than decent connectivity options with two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, VGA out, HDMI out, two audio jacks and card reader.

The laptop offers satisfactory keyboard with usable typing feel and well-defined pressure point. The color reproductions on the 13” display may disappoint many, while the HD (1366 x 768) resolution is slightly inadequate for typical multi tasking operations. The glossy panel may strain user eye when the laptop is used outdoors.

The Intel Core i5 3337U Ivy Bridge processor is clocked between 2.5GHz and 2.7GHz. As an ULV processor, the chip comes with a TDP of 17W. The Toshiba 750GB HDD should supply average users with ample room to store their files. The Toshiba Satellite L830-15L is only suitable for moderate gaming, its AMD Radeon HD 7550M offers barely playable gaming experience with newer game titles. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim reaches 22fps with high detail settings.
