Lenovo May Soon Release the ThinkPad X3

As details of the Lenovo ThinkPad X3 begin to emerge, we could soon see the laptop get released. It is likely a direct successor to the X1 Carbon and users will be able to choose variations with Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 Haswell processors.

The X3 will also be thinned than the Carbon, 18.76mm thick for the touch-equipped version and 17.2mm for the non-touch version. Variants of the X1 Carbon are approximately 2mm thicker than their successors. The X3 will feature Intel vPro technology and weigh approximately 1.27 kg. The machine can be fitted with 4GB or 8GB of RAM, but unfortunately there’s only one DIMM slot.

The 256GB SSD will allow for quicker boot up, application loading and file transfer. Users will have two screen resolution options for the 14-inch display, including 1920 x 1080 fullHD, 1920 x 1080 full HD touch and 2560 x 1440 QHD IPS. All graphical tasks are handled by integrated GPU that comes along with the Haswell chipset.

Connectivity options include a couple of USB 3.0 ports, NFC, LTE and integrated WiFi. With the ThinkPad Onelink docking station, users can get more options and longer battery life.
