Lenovo IdeaPad G780 Review

Lenovo LaptopLenovo IdeaPad G780 is a laptop with an appealing bundle of feature sets and capabilities. It’s more than capable of handling internet browsing, daily office tasks, multimedia playbacks and occasional gaming. Unfortunately, the dark brown and charcoal black case seems to be susceptible to fingerprints and smudges. Despite its stiff hinges, the display lid wobbles a little too easily.

There are no ports on the back and only a card reader on the front. There are two USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI out port Fast Ethernet port, VGA out socket and Kensington lock on the left. Another USB 2.0 port is found on the right, along with headphone jack, power socket and more importantly a Blue-Ray drive.

The 17.3” (1600 x 900) display has glare-type surface that limits usability during outdoor activity. The laptop is powered by a 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 3210M processor and Nvidia GeForce GT 630M, which are good enough for daily productivity tasks and a bit of entertainment.
