Laptop Comparison: Sony Vaio Pro 13 and MacBook Pro (2013)

Before Apple unveils its new MacBook Pro models, Sony has already put the VAIO Pro 13 in the shelves. It comes with a 1080p 10-point touchscreen display and slim design. Sporting a carbon fibre design, the VAIO Pro 13 weighs only 2lbs. On the sides, there are a full-sized HDMI port, a couple of USB 3.0 ports and SD card reader.

Powered with the Intel Core i5 4200U Haswell processor, the VAIO Pro 13 delivers impressive performance level. The 128GB SSD allows near-instant transition between sleep to wake, although it won’t allow users to store plenty of multimedia content.

The MacBook Pro was unveiled during the official event in October 22. It comes with the highly optimized OS X Mavericks that delivers improved battery life. The 13-inch model has 2560 x 1600 screen resolution and the 15.4-inch model with 2880 x 1800 screen resolution.

Both are equipped with Intel Core i7 Haswell processor clocked at 2GHz. Despite the reasonably powerful hardware configuration, users can still get nearly 8 hours of battery life. Not only that these models are powered by the integrated Iris graphics solution, but also discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 750 graphics card.
