HP Pavilion Sleekbook TouchSmart 15-b153sg Review

The HP Pavilion Sleekbook TouchSmart 15-b153sg is a budget laptop, which is equipped with basic connectivity options, including the Ethernet, HDMI out, two USB 3.0 ports, card reader, audio combo jack and a single USB 2.0 port. It’s a bit unfortunate that laptop is rather prone to collecting fingerprints, forcing users to polish the device a bit more often than usual.

HP adds a 15.6” touchscreen (1366 x 768) display with glossy panel, which supports multi touch inputs. Combined with the low brightness level, the glossy display is essentially unreadable outdoors, even during cloudy days. The HP Pavilion Sleekbook TouchSmart 15-b153sg is powered by the AMD A4 4335M APU, clocked at 1.9GHz anda TDP of 17 Watts.

There are also 4GB of RAM module and 500GB Hitachi Travelstar Z5K500 HDD, which delivers mediocre transfer rate. The integrated AMD Radeon HD 7400G is the weakest among graphics solution provided by AMD Trinity APUs. For serious gamers, its performance is nearly non-existent, since only very few newer games can run smoothly even at lowest detail settings.
