HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b004sg Ultrabook Review

The HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b004sg is an ultrabook that makes a fairly-solid impression with its design. While the stiffness is generally acceptable, distortion may appear when we apply some pressure on the back of the lid. Connectivity options include two USB 3.0 ports and it doesn’t have the legacy VGA out port typically found on larger models.

The unlit chiclet-style keyboard has 15x15mm keys, which feature well-palpable pressure point and short drop. During typical typing session, the keyboard yields only slightly and users should appreciate the indicator LEDs for mute, Caps lock and WiFi connection. HD uses the glossy 15.6” (1366 x 768) display on laptop, which is less than ideal for standard outdoor uses.

Display reflection and mediocre brightness level make it very difficult to read content outdoor. The 1.7GHz Intel Core i5 3317U dual-core processor is supported by Nvidia GeForce GT630M discrete GPU, which is powerful enough to run newer games at medium-high detail settings.
