Lenovo recently overtook HP and becomes the largest global PC market. But, the US-based company will surely rethink its strategy regain dominance in the market. The company believes that the immense Chinese market can help it achieve the projected profit of $7 (Approx. £4) billion. Apparently, the company thinks that Ultrabooks can help to make it happen.
HP has released a number of Ultrabook models including the Envy Spectre, Spectre XT and Folio. Two particular models, the Spectre XT TouchSmart and Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 can take full advantage of Microsoft’s latest OS, the Windows 8 with touch optimized interface.
Other emerging markets, such as India and Africa may also drive growth in global Ultrabook sales. Lenovo now has 30 percent market share in China and HP may choose to respond by releasing high-end Ultrabooks. However, like other emerging markets; price is often the most important deciding factor.
