Hewlett Packard unveiled the new ProBook 4 range of laptops on Monday, which includes a 15.6” touchscreen model, Compared to HP’s earlier laptops, these new models are 18 percent lighter and 36 percent thinner. The company is planning to roll out five laptops in the series, which are designed primarily for business professionals.
There are varying screen sizes to choose from, starting at 13.3” to 17.3”. To be specific, the ProBook 450 has 15.6” touchscreen display, ProBook 430 at 13.3”, ProBook 440 and 445 at 14”, ProBook 455 at 15” and ProBook 470 at 17.3”. Depending on usage patterns, hardware configurations and other factors, users can get on average 8 hours of battery life. Owners have options to choose 1TB HDD or 128GB SSD.
Other essential connectivity options include HDMI out port and USB 3.0 ports. Their prices start from $499 (Approx. £321) and PC should distribute them globally in coming weeks. These laptops will be running Windows 7 or Windows 8, while those with light computing tasks can still benefit from the free SuSe Linux OS.
