HP Envy dv7-7202eg Review

HP Laptop ReviewsHP Envy dv7-7202eg is a laptop with good display and adequate performance level to serve most kinds of tasks. Available for 1200 Euro, the machine delivers plenty of value for the price. Other positive aspects of the laptop are appealing appearance, three USB 3.0 ports, Blu-ray burner, two 2.5” hard drives with 750GB each and built-in fingerprint reader.

It may not be easy to find the reason to criticize the laptop’s manufacturing quality. The machine can be twisted only marginally and the case feels thoroughly stable thanks to the solid aluminum case. All components seem to fit together rather nicely and hinges are rigid enough to prevent wobbling. The matte 17.3” 1080p display comes with LED backlighting for extended lifetime and lower energy consumption. The Intel Core i7-3630QM quad-core processor has a base clock rate of 2.4GHz.

The HP Envy dv7-7202eg seems to fall short in terms of gaming performance and it starts to reach the limit rather quickly due to the somewhat limited Nvidia GeForce GT 630M graphics card with Battlefield 3 reaching 21fps at high detail settings. Users may also be disappointed with its comparatively loud system noise and relatively short battery life.
