Dell has recently offered an upgrade to its XPS 13 developer edition laptop with a higher resolution display.
The laptop was first shipped last year in November with Linux OS running under the hood. It originally arrived with a rather ordinary 13.3″ (1366 x 768) display and a new version with 1080p resolution has been unveiled on Monday. The display is not only sharper, but also brighter with wider viewing angles. Other details are roughly the same like the Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 256 GB of SSD.
Like the original XPS 13 model this was the result of partnership between Canonical and Dell. The former is commonly known in the computing world as the maker of Ubuntu, a very popular Linux distribution. It is a high quality and versatile flavor of Linux with good hardware support.
The XPS 13 Developer Edition project began when Dell gathered feedback from developers on what they consider as an ideal productivity notebook. This garnered plenty of interest and the significant amount of support eventually convinced the company to release the desired laptop model.
The model was found to be ideal for developers, but the top gripe among users is the relatively low screen resolution. This enhancement might just what’s required to win over a few more buyers.
I’m not that much of a internet reader to be honest but your blogs really nice, keep it up! I’ll go ahead and bookmark your website to come back down the road. Cheers
I read this article fully on the topic of the comparison of hottest and previous technologies, it’s remarkable article.
Definitely, what was missing here was a good screen resolution. Not decided yet, but I think I’ll give this laptop a try now that it features a fhd screen.
Thanks for the article.
