The 13” Sony Vaio Pro is a Windows 8 laptop with Intel Haswell processor clocked dynamically between 1.6GHz and 2.3GHz, 128GB SSD, two USB 3.0 ports, 4GB of RAM, HDMI out port and SD card slot. On the other hand, the MacBook Air is Apple’s latest lightweight laptop with carbon fiber chassis, that’s also used by Vaio Pro. The 13” variant weighs only 2.4lbs, while the 11” is slightly lighter at 1.92 lbs.
The Sony Vaio Pro is about $150 (Approx. £97) more expensive than the 13” MacBook Air, but has a touchscreen display and Windows 8 OS, which appeals more to average computer users. The Vaio Pro is also lighter, something that veteran road warriors would appreciate. Sony adds the full HD, Triluminos panel on the Vaio Pro, which translates to authentic and rich color reproductions. Nevertheless, the MacBook Air model remains a good option for users who seek quieter daily operations and impressive battery life.
