Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A Touch Review

Asus LaptopThe Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A Touch is a touch-enabled version of the earlier non-touch UX31A. With the IPS panel, users can get strong contrast and delightful viewing angles. There’s a 2GHz Intel Core i7 3517U ULV processor with 17W of TDP. The Turbo Boost feature can increase the clock to 3GHz based on requirements.

The system comes equipped with non-removable dual-channel 4GB of RAM, which would greatly benefit the on-board HD Graphics 4000 GPU. Popular games are playable only at low or medium detail settings. The Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A Touch is rather quiet during full load and the fan turns off during very light activity.

The machine has top-notch build quality; with a case that is impervious to deformation and as stiff as a thick plank. Compared to the MacBook Air 13, the Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A Touch is slightly heavier. On the right, there are power socket, one USB 3.0 port, mini VGA port and microHDMI port. To the left, there’s another USB 3.0 port, as well as an SD card reader and audio jack.
