Asus Unveils the Transformer Book T100 in IDF

Asus seems to understand what consumers need and with its new Transformer Book T100, the company gives a fresh definition to what hybrid is all about. The device comes with affordable price points at only £220 for the 32GB model and £252 for the 64GB model. The ultraportable machine boasts an interesting 2-in-1 design; a tablet that can turn into a Windows 8.1 laptop, when it’s docked into the physical keyboard. Asus announces the T100 at the IDF (Intel Developer Forum) event in San Francisco.

Packing a 10.1-inch (1366 x 768) IPS HD display, the T100 is powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor and 2GB of RAM. It should support Windows 8.1 adequately for casual tasks, such as web browsing and document editing. Also there are micro HDMI port, microUSB port, full-sized USB 3.0 port and microSD card slot.

It is interesting to know that the keyboard docking station is included with the T100 for free. Overall, with its long battery life, immersive entertainment experience, detachable touchscreen display and PC compatibility, the Asus Transformer Book T100 is perfect for UK consumers who expect portable computing with full-blown Windows PC capability.
